First, thanks for such a warm welcome everyone.

To Annatar-I'm a big fan of your posts, they make me laugh. I appreciate your humor.

To answer the question of why Nienna is my favorite of the Valar...because grief and pity are two really great qualities a person can have. Through grief and pity we make ourselves vulnerable. We learn so much about ourselves and our world when we are low, and are allowed to escape ego. Nienna is a true giver and counselor and tries to see all points of view. She gives a voice to the underdog and believes in second chances. She forgives.

I'm not sure if any of you have read the Sandman books (DC Comics), but she reminds me of the character, .
